Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RenterMagnet ("we," "us," or "our"), a service of Renter Magnet (DeLand, Florida), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information across our SaaS platform serving property managers, rental experts, and renters.

1. Information We Collect

From Property Managers: company name, contact and billing contact information, portfolio and property details, uploaded listing content. From Rental Experts: profile details, credentials, service areas, contact information. From Renters: inquiries, saved searches, and contact form submissions. Account Information: name, email, password hash, and role. Payment Information: processed by Stripe. We store only subscription metadata and the last-4/brand references Stripe returns. Content You Upload: listing details, photos, rent specials, and custom promotion images. Contact Forms: messages sent via /contact and expert request dialogs. Cookies and Similar Technologies: session, preference, analytics, and advertising cookies. Automatically Collected: device, browser, IP address, usage, and log data.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
  • Publish approved promotions to Rent-Specials.com.
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and Service updates.
  • Send marketing emails (with an unsubscribe option).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies (required for the Service), functional cookies (preferences), analytics cookies (usage insights), and advertising cookies (measurement and retargeting). You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

4. Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to understand usage and measure advertising performance. You may opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and opt out of Meta's advertising via your Meta account controls.

5. Payment Processing (Stripe)

Payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe's privacy practices are described at https://stripe.com/privacy.

6. Supabase Authentication and Lovable Cloud Hosting

Account, listing, and application data is stored using Supabase (through Lovable Cloud). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by the underlying providers.

7. Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare for content delivery, DNS, and security. Cloudflare may process request metadata to protect the Service against abuse.

8. Marketing Communications

Transactional emails (receipts, account notices) are always sent when required. Marketing emails include a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@rentermagnet.com to opt out.

9. How We Share Information

We share information with our subprocessors — Stripe, Supabase/Lovable Cloud, Cloudflare, Google (Analytics), and Meta (Pixel) — solely to operate the Service. Approved promotions are syndicated to Rent-Specials.com. We share information when required by law or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Billing records are retained as required by tax and legal obligations. Content removed on request may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

11. Security Measures

We use TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest through our platform providers, row-level access controls, HMAC-signed webhooks, and least-privilege administrative access. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; opt out of marketing communications; and control cookies. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other U.S. states with applicable privacy laws have specific rights, including a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" right (we do not sell personal information).

13. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@rentermagnet.com. We will delete or de-identify your personal information, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Backups are overwritten in the normal course.

14. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users age 18 or older creating business or professional accounts. It is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

15. International Users

We are based in the United States and process personal information in the U.S. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
